ASHRIJI TA-MUNIR
[Name] Ashriji ta-Munir
[Nickname] Ash, Riji
[Age] 47
[Pronouns] She/her
[Affiliation] Ri-Radilan
[Rank/Occupation] War-Queen, Conqueror of Karraitan, Commander of the Sussurant Coven, She-Whose-Words-Stir-The-Sand, Bearer of the Sixteen Banners, Holder of the Tiger's Throne
[Alignment] Chaotic Neutral
[Dragon] A coven of Southern Night Furies; primarily a battle-scarred female named Akkris
[Appearance]
Somewhat tall - perhaps around 5’8 - with medium-to-dark colored skin, black hair, and brown eyes. Her face is clear-cut and angular, giving her the look of a conniving mad scientist. She wears her hair long and frizzy, and it falls in chaotic strands across her face, shoulders, and back. She commonly wears armor - typically leather, sometimes something more durable - with pieces made of Southern Night Fury scales for decoration. She always has some form of drapery on, especially in the form of shawls, scarves, and waistbands, typically a rich red with gold trimming and intricate patterning.
She is never seen without ornamentation. Bracelets, earrings, necklaces - her wardrobe changes often, but it always contains one of these things. When she’s not decked out in battle armor, she may wear something light and flowy that reveals parts of skin, especially the upper arms, mostly to show off her numerous battle scars.
She carries herself with the aura of a person who knows they’re the most dangerous thing in the room. She walks with the grace of a cat and the slither of a snake, and there is never a weapon too far from her reach. Her demeanor is both threatening and calm, for she knows that she is the one who is always in control.
[Personality]
Ashriji is a complex one. At her core, she is deeply ambitious and driven, determined to see her vision of the world given life. She is carefree, even when enforcing her will, and isn’t easily phased by most things. She has the utmost respect for her opponents (except for the ones whom she deems idiots), especially of the dead - she will often return an opponent’s corpses to their armies so that they may be given funerals, and has an expansive necropolis on the side of her city strictly for the honored dead.
Most strangely for a warlord, she highly admires dragons, and has gone so far as to befriend and command a coven of Southern Night Furies. She knows well of the delicate balance of ecosystems and the roles dragons have to play in it, not to mention her fascination with the dragon’s deadliness and diversity. Her end goal is to unite the entire world (or as much of it as she can muster - she’s no fool, she knows she can’t spread a kingdom too thin) under a single banner, so that there shall be no such thing as war, and nobody will be left wanting for food or shelter.
She sees dragons and armies as part of a means to an end. These beautiful creatures - dragons and humans alike - sadden her when they die, but she knows it is a worthy cause, because their sacrifice shall pay itself off in the end by saving countless lives from being forced to fight and die in pointless skirmishes and wars, or by starving in the streets. She treats enemies and prisoners kindly, especially the prisoners, of whom she showers with luxuries. If she thinks that they are unworthy of such kindness, she will instead simply keep them in a cell, though she makes sure that their needs are seen to and they are never injured or bored.
Of course, almost every blanket statement has at least one exception. There are always times when the rules must be bent or broken, and so she never ties herself down to any laws or rulings, as everything is strictly situational no matter which way you look at it. When it comes to convincing people of her cause and coaxing information out of prisoners, she prefers to use charisma and manipulation to get her way, going so far as to stage riots or murders just to make a point. The more traditional methods like torture are reserved only for when all else has failed.
And the honored enemies? If they show themselves to be respectful and mature, they might just become friends. After all, she’s no dictator. She just wants to make things right, whatever that takes.
